my brother has made me watch the (ridiculous) video for “9 piece” by rick ross so many times now that any mention of it is guaranteed to make me laugh. i finally decided to post it up here so i could i could share this little bit of sibling text message magic:
michael: i actually read an article on AOL’s music blog which named rick ross’s “9 piece” the ninth best song of 2011. it’s official: rap music is easy.
ellen: rick ross used all the money he made from selling dope straight off the iPhone to buy that accolade.
BOOM, roasted by two white kids from the ‘burbs, rick ross.
oh, and fyi. my favorite part of this video is that rick ross and lil wayne both ONLY rap into the cell phone like they’re having a 4-minute long, highly repetitive conversation with someone. like who is on the other line of that call? whoever it is, he or she is probably mad that rick ross won’t let them get a single word in edgewise.
